What is included in the Edexcel GCSE Chemistry exam?

The Edexcel GCSE Chemistry qualification includes two exam papers. Paper 1 will test your understanding of key concepts in chemistry, States of matter and mixtures, Chemical changes, Extracting metals and equilibria and Separate chemistry 1.
Paper 2 will test knowledge of key concepts in chemistry, Groups in the periodic table, Rates of reaction and energy changes, Fuels and Earth science and separate chemistry 2

How long is the Edexcel GCSE Chemistry exam?

You will take two papers and will have a maximum of 1 hour 45 minutes for each paper. Both papers consist of 10 questions and you must answer all of the questions. Each paper has an equal weighting of 50% of the final exam mark.
