Doctoral graduate, just passed PhD in Chemistry at University of Warwick, studying polymer chemistry and electrochemistry. Friendly individual, love helping people, can chat forever as long as it’s about science, maths or football 😉 Worked on electrochemical polymerizations, controlled polymerizations on the macroscale and translating them to the nanoscale. Totally straightforward but polite person, humble and easy to get on with. Enjoy cycling, gym, spending time with family, watching football, reading and of course chatting. Currently reading ‘The Disappearing Spoon’ book by Sam Kean on the Periodic Table. Big fan of popular science, even read some amateur maths, physics and chemistry books. Travelled to give chemistry conferences in Chicago, USA, in Bordeaux, France, and presented posters in Loughborough and Nottingham on my research.

From a young age, I’ve always been taught the importance of academics. Having gone through the process, I also understand the strenuous process required to achieve academic success, whether that be for 11+, GCSEs, A Levels or even University Admissions. Having written the 11+ all across the country, I successfully got into a plethora of grammar schools, finally choosing Wallington County Grammar School for boys. Having attended this establishment, I was granted an unfair advantage in the sense that I was constantly surrounded by the smartest boys in the country, in an environment where we constantly pushed each other to constantly strive towards perfection, not just academically but with life in general. Beyond this, with regards to University Applications, I was gifted the opportunity to seek help from alumni attending the top Russell Group Universities, and also teachers who have helped students gain places at these top universities for many years. I understand that not many people are gifted the same opportunities as I was, and hence why I became a tutor, I want to help students achieve their goals and ambitions, whether that be with regards to the world of academia or university applications. Whilst the latter does also have other factors impacting it, namely luck, I firmly believe that if you set your heart to anything, with the right guidance and hard work, anything is possible.

Hey guys, my name is Pragyan Pratyush, and I am First-Year Student at the LSE, where I am en-route to getting first-class honours. I am pursuing a BSc in Economics but would highlight Economics, Mathematics, Physics and Business Studies as my subjects of strength. I’m part of the Cricket team here and a couple of other societies, like an executive member of a social policy podcast, and I hold roles as a student consultant.

I was the IBDP world topper in high school, getting 45/45 in the May 2022 Examinations with an A in TOK and an A in EE. Apart from that, I was an active member of the school community via my active involvement in organising student events. I organised multiple events like upwards of 30 debate events, charity runs, TedXYouth events, tutoring programmes, student start-ups, etc. I also played numerous sports, including but not limited to cricket, basketball, and football.

Here’s about me! I’m an avid, highly social learner and love interacting with new people. I find great motivation in helping people, especially in academics, and I love to chat about all sorts of things like movies, sports, songs, stupidly hypothetical scenarios, etc.
