Hi! I am a first year medical student at UCL and I am keen to help other aspiring medics with the application process. Having recently been involved in the application process, my understanding of what medical schools are interested in is current, which is important for interview preparation. Additionally, having recently taken the BMAT and UCAT, I know all the techniques and strategies to achieve a high score which got me interviews at Cambridge, UCL, Bristol and Birmingham. I also achieved a 43 in the IB this year, taking HL Maths AA, Biology, and Chemistry and am happy to tutor in all of those subjects. With experience tutoring students in Maths and Sciences for the past two years, I have gained a good insight into adapting my teaching techniques and explanations for different students, ensuring each student understands topics and ideas clearly and effectively.

As a current student at the University of Cambridge, I understand what it takes to make a successful medicine application.
At present, I offer tutoring in the medical admissions process including general advice, UCAT, BMAT, and personal statement work. I also offer the sciences and maths at GCSE level as well as biology at A-level for students who would like help in these areas.
Every student is unique and I aim to cater my sessions to the individual- if you’ve any particular concerns or areas that you struggle with, we can dedicate more time to these with the aim of overcoming them. Sometimes this can mean spending multiple lessons on one subject, whilst at other times it means refreshing your memory on the basics and working from there. Anything is possible in terms of how we can make your lessons a valuable (and enjoyable!) experience.

Hi, I’m Ed, and I’ve just graduated from the University of Cambridge with a predicted 1st in Music. I greatly enjoy the tutoring and problem-solving process, and after having a look through my profile I hope we can start a really strong, positive, tutoring partnership.
At A Level I achieved 3 A-stars in Economics, History, and Music. At GCSE I got 10 A-stars at GCSE in Mathematics, Triple Science, English Lang., English Lit., German, Latin, History, Music, along with an A grade in Further Maths… you can’t win ’em all! At school I was awarded an academic scholarship, an organ scholarship, and was elected Head Boy in my final year. Since arriving at Cambridge I have been awarded an academic Exhibition from the master of College.
Taking GCSEs and A-levels, writing UCAS personal statements, and applying to universities can be daunting and stressful no matter the subject – having done it all fairly recently I remember this well! But I remember one of the best ways to manage this was making sure I understood the key concepts, and what was expected of me at every stage.
Hello my name is Heidi and I am currently doing a Masters in Music Management at the University of Leeds. Recently, I have just finished my undergraduate degree in Music at the University of Bristol. Before this, I undertook my A-Levels in 2020 and received offers from all the universities I applied for (Durham, York, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Bristol).
I am passionate about music and getting people to think “outside the box”. I have a wide variety of skills which I incorporate into my teaching styles and personality. As someone who regularly performs as a classical singer, I have great public speaking skills, creativity as well as professionalism which music has taught me. As someone with ADD, I have unique methods to making information stick and always keep persevering to reach my goals.
As the Employability lead at the University of Leeds for the school of music, I am also passionate about helping people follow their dreams and help with CV work, portfolio advice as well as just talking through plans. As people in school didn’t understand what careers Music can provide, I am passionate about proving that skills are transferable, rather than sticking into one degree speciality.
I am not your typical music student, as I believe in a holistic approach to learning and tackling problems. I always find new tactics until I succeed effectively.
I hope we can work well together and achieve what you set your mind to!
