My name is Silas and I am a newly qualified Resident Doctor following the completion of my Medical Degree at the University of Sheffield. I graduated with honours and received the Mark Gregory Baker as the top student in my year.

Prior to studying Medicine, I gained a First Class Degree in Political Science and International Relations at the University of Birmingham; my degree allowed me to apply to Undergraduate Medicine as a graduate. I can offer a unique perspective for students looking for alternate routes into Medicine and on the importance placed on varied interests by Medical Schools across the country.

As a Sheffield Medical student, I am the President of the Sheffield Emergency Medicine Society and am a member of medical societies such as Sheffield Friends of MSF and Wilderness Medicine. I am also a Community First Responder which involves responding to emergencies in the area with lifesaving equipment before the ambulance arrives. My specific areas of interest within Medicine are: Emergency Medicine, Wilderness Medicine, Pre-Hospital Medicine, Humanitarian Medicine, and Disaster Medicine.

In terms of the city of Sheffield, I was born and raised here therefore I feel that I can answer any questions that students have about the city, the lifestyle, and the surrounding area which I know is a point of emphasis from Sheffield during the interview process.

Overall, I am a patient and understanding tutor who can offer you my personal experience of the application process and as a current medical student and I feel that I can help you achieve your potential.

In terms of German, I have a Goethe Institut B2 Certificate and have been doing German for 7 years including a 1 month Medical Placement at a German hospital

Hi my name is Nadia and I am a third year medical student at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS).

I have been a university student for the past seven years, so I understand how stressful and challenging exams can be. I aim to create an environment where you feel comfortable to learn and work towards your goals. My approach is to adapt the learning style to the student to optimize their understanding and performance.

Hi! My name is Rachel. I am a First Year Adult Nursing student at City, and I’m hoping to do Medicine for my Post Graduate.

I had taken Biology, Chemistry and Psychology for my Alevels, with Psychology being one of my favourites. I have had experience in both doing/ conducting Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing interviews, as well as teaching students GCSE English Language and Psychology (A-Level too).I was cofounder of my school’s medent&stem society, where we ran various sessions with lower years to help aid them in their progress towards their aims- which I am hoping to do so for my fellow students on this platform. Being a student, I feel like I have a greater understating of the academic needs of pupils and wish to help other students achieve the grades I thought to be impossible at that stage of my education.

The subjects I enjoyed studying most during high school and college were English literature and biology which I’m still passionate about now. Hi, I’m Imaan. I’m a third year medical student at the University of Plymouth, I know the interview process inside out and I know that it takes A LOT of determination. I have independently achieved all my medical school offers and thats why I know that although it seems impossible, there’s always a way to achieve your dreams and I’m here to help you find it! I have lots of experience coaching students and am easy to talk to. I have had to deal with the daunting experience of applying to medical school, independently, including; taking the UCAT exam twice! This has taught me everything there is to know about the test and I have developed many tips and tricks. In one of the most competitive years for medical school places, I managed to receive two offers: University of Leeds and Lancaster University. I know how the interview processes work and can offer specialised advice to anyone applying to any medical school.

At A-Level I achieved A*AA, in Biology, Chemistry and Philosophy respectively. I know how to teach students in accordance with exam board mark schemes and get those outstanding results.

I also offer teaching for GCSE in the respective A-Level subjects I studied, with the addition of English Literature, which I achieved a grade 9 in at GCSE.
