Nadia
About Me
Hi my name is Nadia and I am a third year medical student at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS).
I have been a university student for the past seven years, so I understand how stressful and challenging exams can be. I aim to create an environment where you feel comfortable to learn and work towards your goals. My approach is to adapt the learning style to the student to optimize their understanding and performance.
In terms of my academic background, I have experience with studying A-levels (biology, chemistry and physics), an undergraduate degree and masters (Biomedical Science BSc (Hons) and MSc).
Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also volunteer within the community as a first aider with St John’s ambulance. Alongside medical school, I also work as a phlebotomist.
Whatever your aspirations, I look forward to working with you to help make them a reality!
My teaching style
My approach involves making the student feel comfortable and taking the time to understand their needs (goals, strengths and weaknesses). In addition to understanding the content, I focus on applying this knowledge to exam papers and measuring this through regular assessments.
My past experience
I am experienced science tutor and have also worked for medicine admissions (helping to run MMIs).
My Proudest Achievements
I have won an ASDAN universities award for volunteering abroad in hospital.
I am proud of my involvement in several medical school societies including: the pediatric and surgical society.
One of my strengths is writing essays at university and often achieve 80% or above.
