My name is Conor, I’m from Northern Ireland and I’ve always loved learning. I have always been fortunate to have great teachers and it allowed me to get my 11+ and a good set of GCSEs and A-Levels, eventually ending up at the University of Oxford, reading “the degree that runs Britain”; PPE.
My particular strength is humanities, I have always found them to be intuitively easy to learn and be able to retain information. In my mind those subjects are all about practice; familiarising yourself with the content and the specifics and committing it to memory. That’s the first step. The second is making yourself comfortable with the style of exam question and acquainting yourself with the exam format. Thus, in my mind, the process is split into two halves, the first being the content and the second being past-papers, lots of them.
It is also worth saying that I’m not picky about how someone revises the content. In school I used many formats to do this, including mind-maps, linear notes, flash-cards, verbal exercises and more, so I would work with whatever is best for my students.
This has always been successful for me and I’m sure it can be for you too!

Hello, I am Amaira Sharma. I moved to the UK 4 years ago and have completed my sixth form- IB Diploma, gap year wherein I gained retail experience and research/admin experience working at a publishing company and my first year at the University of Bath. I was born and brought up in India therefore I am a bilingual and fluently speak Hindi and English. Having completed IB psychology during the last two years of high school/sixth form and I am really interested to learn about the human brain and behaviour therefore I am studying Psychology at University. Additionally, I have always loved Biology, being my favourite science subject and it links very well with the biology of the brain, helping me deepen my understanding of the biological approach of psychology. Being a reflective and open-minded learner has led me to constantly improve upon myself and my knowledge. As a caring and organised individual, I would love to help students learn and improve their knowledge to achieve their best academic potential. Hello my name is Grace. I am an undergraduate at the University of Warwick studying psychology. I chose psychology because I took it at GCSE and I really enjoyed it, I found I had a passion for it. This was why I carried it on for A-level and ultimately why I chose it for my degree. I also studied maths and biology at A-level, along with completing my EPQ in year 11. During lockdown I found myself falling behind and struggling with biology A-level and I myself got a tutor to help me out. I found it really helped my understanding of the subject and also my confidence. Because of this I decided I would become a tutor so I could help others in the way I was helped. I have been tutoring maths, psychology, and biology since the start of 2023 and I have tutored over 15 different students for their GCSEs and A-levels. I love working with so many people and being able to see their abilities grow over time.

Hello there, my name is Esin and I study Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford. My degree is like any other Psychology degree, but with the added focus towards experimental design, statistics, and data analysis. In preparation for this degree, I took Biology, Maths, and Chemistry at school, as well as Psychology, to supplement my ability to interpret and produce scientific writing.

Additionally, the Oxbridge application process is a distinct and memorable one, with interview styles being updated year to year. As a current Oxford student, I bring the advantage of having very recently gone through the application process myself and having friends in many different departments and degrees that can offer insights from their own recent experience.

Besides my scientific and academic interests, I also play piano and took Music Theory in adherence to the ABRSM curriculum. I would be very happy to tutor in the area of Psychology and Human Sciences, Oxbridge applications, or music.
