Grace
About Me
Hello my name is Grace. I am an undergraduate at the University of Warwick studying psychology. I chose psychology because I took it at GCSE and I really enjoyed it, I found I had a passion for it. This was why I carried it on for A-level and ultimately why I chose it for my degree. I also studied maths and biology at A-level, along with completing my EPQ in year 11. During lockdown I found myself falling behind and struggling with biology A-level and I myself got a tutor to help me out. I found it really helped my understanding of the subject and also my confidence. Because of this I decided I would become a tutor so I could help others in the way I was helped. I have been tutoring maths, psychology, and biology since the start of 2023 and I have tutored over 15 different students for their GCSEs and A-levels. I love working with so many people and being able to see their abilities grow over time.
My teaching style
I like to work with my students and get to know what areas they are most confident in and where they feel they need a little help. Then working on the more basic questions and examples for that topic and slowly building the difficulty until they feel happy being able to do them. Then I feel like practicing by using exam questions is always a really good way to solidify what they have learnt and also to identify and other weaker areas.
My past experience
I have been tutoring maths, biology, and psychology since the start of 2023
My Proudest Achievements
