Hello, my name is Serena Sze and I am from Hong Kong and have studied in Singapore before and am currently in the UK. Hence, I am quite familiar with different type of learning methods which I have observed throughout my studies in different places. I am currently a second year medical student in King’s College London and has just finished my A-levels. I scored a 2920 B1 in my UCAT and received offers from KCL and University of Glasgow. I did a research project on the integration of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine for stroke rehabilitation. I am very interested in helping different students to find the best way to study as there are a lot of different studying methods currently, such as Pomodoro. However, I do very much understand the difficulty in finding the best way to do it and I would love to use my experiences to guide them to the right direction.
Hi! I’m Ting, currently in my fourth year of dental school at KCL. I’m fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Malay, and I’ve got four years of teaching experience. Originally from Malaysia, I was offered one of ten international spots at KCL and one of three at Birmingham. Trinity College Dublin offered me a spot solely based on my CV and personal statement, bypassing the usual interview process. I’ve also had interviews with Manchester and Glasgow, so I’m familiar with their questioning styles.
As an ex-panelist for KCL MMI interview, I understand their academic and clinical expectations, as well as what they’re looking for in potential students. I have also participated in the UCAT SJT question selection process. My experience in dental school as well as my position as Vice Chair of Dental Council have equipped me with the right knowledge and skillset to guide you in your journey towards dental school!
Hello! I’m Jenny, a passionate tutor specialising in maths and Chinese. I scored a 9 in Further Maths GCSE and have a strong foundation in mathematical concepts, which allows me to help students at various levels improve their skills confidently. I also speak fluent Chinese and enjoy supporting learners in building their language proficiency, whether for school, exams, or personal interest.
I have gained valuable experience by tutoring my neighbours’ children, which has taught me how to tailor lessons to individual learning styles and create a patient, encouraging environment. I believe learning should be enjoyable and effective, so I focus on breaking down difficult topics into simple, understandable steps.
Outside of tutoring, I love exploring new cultures, trying different foods, and staying active. I’m excited to help you reach your learning goals and make your educational journey both rewarding and fun!
