20About Me
Hi everyone!
My name is Aadam and I am an Engineering student at Trinity College, Cambridge.
I have had experience guiding students in their Cambridge Engineering (and STEM) applications in everything from personal statements to interviews. I have particular experience in tutoring the entrance exams/interviews for which I have already prepared many resources.
Having gone through the experience myself, I understand the concerns you will have and stresses that you will be under so rest assured I will be there to answer any questions that you might have and make the process as smooth and as comfortable as possible.
I am also fluent in French and German so I can tutor you in these languages as well as in English if you prefer.
I am ready to help you succeed and hope to see you in Cambridge!
I have also had a lot of experience tutoring online via Zoom (nearly 5 years now) in many subjects at GCSE (and A-Level) so I am completely familiar with the process and I know to harness the many benefits of online tutoring and how to completely avoid its inevitable drawbacks.
My teaching style
I tutor Cambridge Engineering (and STEM) exams and interviews by:
Exposing students to the type of questions that they will get (and harder ones as well!)
Forcing them to think outside the box and
Nudging them in the right direction if they are heading astray
This allows me to make my students comfortable with the process of answering challenging questions in a controlled environment so that they can ace the actual exam/interview.
I tutor GCSE and A-Level STEM subjects by using physical analogies to help students understand the sometimes challenging concepts they come across and allow them to paint a mental picture. I then demonstrate how to answer (harder and harder) questions and then give them questions so they can practice themselves (and this is also what I do for GCSE Language subjects).
My past experience
I have been tutoring Maths and the Sciences at GCSE (and A-Level to a lesser extent) online for nearly 5 years now so I am very familiar with online tutoring and how to incorporate its benefits into my teaching and overcome its inevitable drawbacks.
My Proudest Achievements
I got an offer from Cambridge at a time when they were handing out fewer offers due to grade inflation, I got the highest possible grades at A-Level for all the subjects I took and I can speak seven languages.
