About Me
Hello, I’m an Oxford Computer Science graduate and experienced tutor with over 3 years of proven success helping students excel academically. I provide customized one-on-one tutoring in a wide breadth of subjects – from GCSE & A-Level Maths and Computer Science to university-level CS topics to standardized admission tests like the SAT & MAT.
My foundation in computer science comes from my first class honours degree at Oxford, where I specialized in machine learning, and computer architecture. I have published research in peer-reviewed journals and worked in the software industry at companies like Google and Meta, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to solve complex problems with code.
Beyond academics, I have tutored over 150 students from middle school to college/university levels. I have a proven track record of helping students strengthen their foundations, improve their critical thinking abilities, and achieve higher grades. My specialty is in computer science tutoring – breaking down complex technical concepts as well as fundamentals like algorithms, data structures and discrete mathematics. I focus on connecting theory to practical applications so students develop deeper understanding.
In mathematics, I provide GCSE & A-Level Maths tutoring to strengthen fundamentals – whether it’s calculus, statistics, mechanics, number theory or more. I also prepare students for university admission tests like the MAT and SAT, achieving remarkable score improvements for tutees through personalized drill, practice and test-taking approaches.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out! I would be happy to discuss my background, approach, and teaching methodology in more detail
My teaching style
As a tutor, I leverage my strong academic foundation to break down complex technical ideas into understandable chunks for my students. My approach is to connect the theoretical concepts they learn in class to concrete examples and applications.
I create customized study plans based on each student’s unique strengths, weaknesses, and goals. By getting to know my students and how they learn best, I can tailor my teaching for maximum effectiveness. My aim isn’t just knowledge transfer, but nurturing confidence and self-directed learning skills as well.
My past experience
3+ years of experience tutoring GCSE and Alevel Mathematics and Computer Science. In addition, I have a lot of experience in helping students prepare for university admission tests like MAT and SAT. 23 of my past students have landed offers at Oxford, Cambridge or Imperial College London.
