About Me
Hi there! I am HungYeh a second year medic studying in UoB. I am international student from Singapore and I have been in the UK for 3 years. Despite being an international student, I am effectively bilingual (in English and chinese), so communication will not be an issue! The education system in Singapore is also very similar to UK’s education system, so I am quite confident I am able to assist if you have queries with school work in the UK. Something more personal about myself, I enjoy doing sports and music. I am currently playing for the Medical School’s basketball team and I play the cello during my free time as well. I managed to attain Distinction in my Cello performance diploma with ABRSM. I have been tutoring after I left high school as a part time job, and I have tutored students from the young age of 8 till the age of 17, so I am fairly experienced in teaching!
My teaching style
I prefer to be seen as an older brother to my students rather than a teacher. I aim to be as approachable as possible, so that my students will not hesitate to ask me questions. I am more of an exam oriented tutor. I can provide tips on how I revise and techniques needed on answering questions. This will help you to study more effectively and efficiently.
My past experience
Yes I do! I have been tutoring for the past 4 years! Helping my students to improve tremendously on their grades especially in sciences. I am currently still tutoring 1 student studying in Malaysia with interest to study Medicine in Australia.
My Proudest Achievements
It will be helping my students to achieve the grades that they are aiming for. Personally, I feel that studying requires a lot of technique and methods rather than memorising. Helping my students to realise that and to help them study more efficiently and effectively makes me a proud tutor!
