About Me
Hi! I’m Athi and I am a 2nd year medical student at the University of Liverpool. I have been tutoring at a variety of levels for 3 years now ranging from 11+ to A-levels and I have enjoyed every minute of it! Since I’ve been doing this such a young age, I think I understand how stressful exams can be along with everything else a medicine application demands from you so I believe I can be really effective. I am quite proud of the work-life balance I have achieved and think that it contributes greatly to a stress-free environment, I have learnt to stay active by making time to go out with friends and also take some time for myself at the rock climbing gym as a way to unwind. I am quite enthusiastic about helping others into medicine, I think it is a process that you can really feel lost in as there is so much going on and I am confident that the skills I have been tailoring for 3 years can provide you with a stress-free, effective, high-quality learning experience.
My teaching style
I am a huge believer in the fact that practice not only makes perfects but also permanent so I think doing a boatload of questions with guidance, really helps you get the knack of things. I think using this to start with and slowly tailoring lessons towards your areas of weaknesses allows us to strengthen your application as a whole.
My past experience
Yes, I have been tutoring since the first lockdown and I started with 11+ and I have slowly worked my way up to GCSEs.
My Proudest Achievements
