Music Tutors : 1-1 Music Preparation

Hi! I’m Arranavi Aroo — a friendly, dedicated tutor with experience teaching English, Maths, and Science from KS1 to KS3, as well as introductory law to older students. I’ve worked with Ali’s Academy and a small school setting, supporting a wide range of learners including those with ADHD, autism, anxiety, and behavioural challenges. My sessions are calm, encouraging, and always adapted to suit each student’s pace and personality. Whether your child needs help catching up, staying focused, or being stretched further, I’m here to build their confidence and make learning enjoyable again. I believe every student can succeed — with the right support, patience, and positivity!

I specialise in creating tailored, engaging lessons that build confidence, curiosity, and independence. I’ve worked closely with students who face learning challenges, including ADHD, autism, anxiety, and behavioural difficulties, and I take pride in adapting my teaching style to meet each child’s individual needs. Hello there, my name is Esin and I study Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford. My degree is like any other Psychology degree, but with the added focus towards experimental design, statistics, and data analysis. In preparation for this degree, I took Biology, Maths, and Chemistry at school, as well as Psychology, to supplement my ability to interpret and produce scientific writing.

Additionally, the Oxbridge application process is a distinct and memorable one, with interview styles being updated year to year. As a current Oxford student, I bring the advantage of having very recently gone through the application process myself and having friends in many different departments and degrees that can offer insights from their own recent experience.

Besides my scientific and academic interests, I also play piano and took Music Theory in adherence to the ABRSM curriculum. I would be very happy to tutor in the area of Psychology and Human Sciences, Oxbridge applications, or music.

I achieved top grades in Oxford across a broad range of topics, including Analysis & Criticism, Composition, SCART (stylistic composition), Performance, and Special Topics (music historiography). I am a flautist by trade, formerly the Principal Flute of Oxford Festival Orchestra and a side-by-side alumnus of the professional Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra. I am regularly booked as a concert soloist by 50+ venues, many of which involve taking music into community. I am also a freelance composer and arranger: several of my works have been performed in concert and I work regularly with Warner Music UK as a choir arranger.

Outside of music, I am completing a postgraduate conversion course in Law and will begin as a Trainee Solicitor at a Music and Media specialist law firm in October 2026. Contrary to the popular myth, there really are many interesting and varied careers that a Music degree can lead you towards!
