Hi 👋 I’m Kara, a History and Politics graduate from Brasenose college, Oxford! I am super passionate about all things History and Politics as well as International Relations, English literature and Economics. I am available to help students with a wide range of challenges, from Economics A-level to achieving full marks in an EPQ. Outside of studying, I enjoy travelling, reading fiction and all types of exercise, especially the gym and I am a firm believer in having a great work life balance. After studying independently for many months during the pandemic and missing GCSEs, I am in a unique position to understand the mental stress placed on high achieving students who have missed large parts of their education; as your tutor I will do everything I can to support you academically and emotionally. On top of this, I have over three years of tutoring experience in various subjects and specialize in Oxbridge admissions. Please contact me with any queries, I look forward to meeting you soon!
I hold an Upper Second Class Honours in my Master’s degree in Pharmacy and have been working in various pharmacy settings since the age of 19. This diverse exposure has enabled me to develop a broad, flexible, and adaptable skill set, while significantly strengthening my clinical knowledge. Working in multidisciplinary teams and caring for patients from a range of backgrounds has also enhanced my communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. I have tutored a variety of students across a range of levels, from 11+ Maths and English to GCSE History and university law admissions. I have experience guiding prospective students through law applications, offering LNAT preparation, personal statement review, mock interviews and 1:1 tutorial-style sessions on a variety of topics on the university law syllabus. My personalised approach has helped students to secure offers to study law at top universities, including the University of Oxford. I have also delivered workshops and targeted sessions, having worked with the St John’s College Admissions team to run law application-focused sessions alongside Oxford tutors during Open Days, as well as leading constitutional law and essay-writing workshops for A-Level students. I’m Emily, currently studying at economics and management. I would love to support anyone who needs help in their academic journey, helping them succeed by imparting my knowledge at techniques. I achieved all grade 9s at GCSE, so know how to help students in a broad range of subjects. I also achieved all A*s in my A levels, and am still passionate about my A-level subjects.I try to be flexible in my approach to tutoring. For students who need more guidance, I offer structured lessons with detailed explanations. For more independent learners, I foster problem-solving and self-learning by guiding them through the process rather than simply giving answers. My goal is to adapt to each student’s pace and ensure they are confident in the material we cover. Also, I believe in continuous feedback and open communication, so I regularly check in with students to gauge their understanding and adjust my approach based on their progress.
I am an experienced tutor who aims to make learning fun and rewarding. I started tutoring while I was studying my degree and discovered that I loved it! After completing my degree, I started tutoring privately and then joined tutoring companies such as Explore Learning and Catch Up Academy.
I tutor English, math and science from KS1 up to KS3 in person and online. I also tutor 11+ (GL and CEM) and GCSE Maths where I work to prepare students for the exams. I can also support you with developing coping strategies, build confidence or finding different approaches when it comes to learning or taking exams.
My goal to provide a safe and encouraging learning environment where the student has accomplished their goal by the end of the session. I will also support students to build their confidence, learn from mistakes and to apply their knowledge. I will always provide feedback at the end of every session so the student is kept up to date on what they’ve accomplished.

My name is Hayley, and I am a professional tutor with over six years of experience teaching LLB, LNAT, GCSE and A Level students. My wealth of experience spans across subjects including English Literature, English Language, Sociology, Geography, History, Business, and Media Studies. I hold a First Class Honours degree in Law, and I am currently studying the Solicitor’s Course (LLM LPC), which allows me to bring academic rigour, strong analytical skills, and professionalism to every lesson.
I began tutoring out of a genuine passion for education and a belief that every student can excel with the right guidance. I have supported learners of all abilities, from high performing students aiming for grades 8/9, to those starting with inconsistent study habits. Through clear teaching, structured lessons, and consistent encouragement, 93% of my students have achieved grades 7- 9, with all students improving by at least one grade in a single term.
My lessons are structured yet flexible, with a strong focus on exam technique. I teach students how to plan essays, analyse texts and arguments, meet assessment objectives, and express ideas clearly under timed conditions. Whether we are analysing a poem or evaluating sociological theory, my goal is to build deep understanding and exam confidence.
Moreover, supporting students with SEND and SEMH needs is an important part of my work. I adapt lessons to provide structure and emotional understanding, and I always aim to create an inclusive environment where every student feels able to succeed.
I also support students with undergraduate LLB personal statements, academic interview preparation, and developing key legal skills. I offer lessons on OSCOLA referencing and legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw, helping students master accurate citation and effective research techniques.
In addition, I provide a proofreading service for LLB essays, coursework, and dissertations. This includes guidance on structure, formatting, and content development to improve clarity, logic, relevance, and flow. All documents are returned using Track Changes, and discounts are available for tutoring students, multiple submissions, or revisions of the same piece after feedback.
What motivates me most is seeing students grow in both skill and confidence. Whether they are aiming for top grades, preparing for university, or building belief in themselves, I am committed to supporting each student’s progress and wellbeing. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me.
My teaching philosophy is simple: combine knowledge with empathy, structure with creativity, and hard work with encouragement. Together, these values consistently lead to success.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me.
I am an Alternative Provision Tutor committed to creating meaningful opportunities for young people who often feel overlooked, misunderstood, or unsure of their own potential. Working in alternative settings has shown me how powerful personalised teaching can be, and I make it my mission to meet every student exactly where they are—academically, emotionally, and personally. I focus on building trust, nurturing confidence, and helping learners take steady steps forward, even when progress feels out of reach.
Alongside my work in education, I am pursuing a master’s-equivalent qualification in finance. This journey not only strengthens my academic background but also fuels the analytical thinking, discipline, and problem-solving skills I bring into my teaching practice. Balancing both paths has shaped me into a more reflective, resilient, and versatile professional.
I am deeply passionate about helping students recognise their capabilities, overcome challenges, and discover new directions for their futures. Whether through creative teaching strategies, patient guidance, or consistent encouragement, I strive to empower every learner to believe in themselves and to move forward with confidence, no matter how impossible their goals may seem.
I am an energetic and friendly individual with a strong passion for supporting children, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Through my experience as a teaching assistant and nursery assistant, I have developed excellent skills in behaviour observation, one-to-one support, and promoting enrichment activities to help children reach their targets. I am motivated by delivering great customer satisfaction and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for all children.
