My name is Hayley, and I am a professional tutor with over six years of experience teaching LLB, LNAT, GCSE and A Level students. My wealth of experience spans across subjects including English Literature, English Language, Sociology, Geography, History, Business, and Media Studies. I hold a First Class Honours degree in Law, and I am currently studying the Solicitor’s Course (LLM LPC), which allows me to bring academic rigour, strong analytical skills, and professionalism to every lesson.

I began tutoring out of a genuine passion for education and a belief that every student can excel with the right guidance. I have supported learners of all abilities, from high performing students aiming for grades 8/9, to those starting with inconsistent study habits. Through clear teaching, structured lessons, and consistent encouragement, 93% of my students have achieved grades 7- 9, with all students improving by at least one grade in a single term.

My lessons are structured yet flexible, with a strong focus on exam technique. I teach students how to plan essays, analyse texts and arguments, meet assessment objectives, and express ideas clearly under timed conditions. Whether we are analysing a poem or evaluating sociological theory, my goal is to build deep understanding and exam confidence.

Moreover, supporting students with SEND and SEMH needs is an important part of my work. I adapt lessons to provide structure and emotional understanding, and I always aim to create an inclusive environment where every student feels able to succeed.

I also support students with undergraduate LLB personal statements, academic interview preparation, and developing key legal skills. I offer lessons on OSCOLA referencing and legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw, helping students master accurate citation and effective research techniques.

In addition, I provide a proofreading service for LLB essays, coursework, and dissertations. This includes guidance on structure, formatting, and content development to improve clarity, logic, relevance, and flow. All documents are returned using Track Changes, and discounts are available for tutoring students, multiple submissions, or revisions of the same piece after feedback.

What motivates me most is seeing students grow in both skill and confidence. Whether they are aiming for top grades, preparing for university, or building belief in themselves, I am committed to supporting each student’s progress and wellbeing. Working in alternative settings has shown me how powerful personalised teaching can be, and I make it my mission to meet every student exactly where they are—academically, emotionally, and personally. Alongside my work in education, I am pursuing a master’s-equivalent qualification in finance. I am an energetic and friendly individual with a strong passion for supporting children, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Through my experience as a teaching assistant and nursery assistant, I have developed excellent skills in behaviour observation, one-to-one support, and promoting enrichment activities to help children reach their targets. I am motivated by delivering great customer satisfaction and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for all children.

I completed an AS Level award in English Literature and A Levels in History, Psychology and Art and Design. I then achieved a 2:1 in BSc Applied Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University in 2014. In 2018, I successfully completed a PGCert from the University of Birmingham in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions, and in 2021 I qualified as a teacher of Art and Design.
I am a creative-thinking and motivated individual looking for a new challenge to broaden my horizons. I have previously worked as a psychological talking therapist, and I am also a qualified secondary teacher with extensive experience in schools; which has led me to my current role as an SEN tutor for adolescents who are refusing school attendance. My role is to provide them with the emotional support and encouragement needed to return to school, as well as helping them to learn and revise all curriculum material needed to pass their exams. I relish the opportunity to build positive relationships with others, as this is what motivates me, and I love to see meaningful changes which lead to bright futures; as a result of the work that myself and others have put in. I believe that in order to overcome any challenge, the first step is to identify the barriers to change. This requires the development of trusting relationships with students, as well as their parents and key staff members at their enrolled schools. Once these barriers are identified, we are able to collaboratively come up with a tailored plan to integrate students back into school.

Hi, I’m Alicia, a third year history student at the University of Oxford. I am a friendly and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about the subjects that I tutor and about helping students reach their dream universities. Through completing my GCSES, A Levels and obtaining an offer to study at Oxford, I understand the difficulties that students may face throughout the studying process as well as the application process for Oxbridge. Exams and university admissions can be stressful, and I am aware of the challenges that they pose. Due to this, I am excited to offer students support with KS3/GCSEs, A Levels and Oxbridge admissions.
