I am an energetic and friendly individual with a strong passion for supporting children, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Through my experience as a teaching assistant and nursery assistant, I have developed excellent skills in behaviour observation, one-to-one support, and promoting enrichment activities to help children reach their targets. I am motivated by delivering great customer satisfaction and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for all children.
My teaching style
My teaching style is characterized by patience, attentiveness, and adaptability. I emphasize one-to-one support and gentle prompting to encourage independence in children with SEND and SEMH needs. I promote engagement through creative play and structured movement breaks, always maintaining a strict focus on hygiene and safety. I believe in observing behaviour closely to tailor my approach to each child’s unique requirements and support their developmental progress effectively.
My Proudest Achievements
I am proud of my ability to support children with special educational needs in various educational settings, ensuring they remain on target and engaged through tailored support and enrichment activities. Working with children in both primary and secondary education, I have successfully managed sensitive hygiene tasks and behavioural observations while fostering a positive learning environment. Additionally, my time advising customers on high-value jewellery and maintaining safety standards has honed my teamwork and responsibility skills, which I bring into all my roles.
