17About Me
I am an experienced tutor who aims to make learning fun and rewarding. I started tutoring while I was studying my degree and discovered that I loved it! After completing my degree, I started tutoring privately and then joined tutoring companies such as Explore Learning and Catch Up Academy.
I tutor English, math and science from KS1 up to KS3 in person and online. I also tutor 11+ (GL and CEM) and GCSE Maths where I work to prepare students for the exams. I specialise in tutoring people who have SENDs needs or require to be home schooled. I will ensure that the student’s needs are met during the sessions and I am flexible when it comes to tutoring. I can also support you with developing coping strategies, build confidence or finding different approaches when it comes to learning or taking exams.
My goal to provide a safe and encouraging learning environment where the student has accomplished their goal by the end of the session. I will also support students to build their confidence, learn from mistakes and to apply their knowledge. I will always provide feedback at the end of every session so the student is kept up to date on what they’ve accomplished.
My teaching style
Every session is tailored as everyone has an unique learning style! I am flexible with my approach and will adapt the sessions to what suits the student best. The sessions can focus on one topic or more depending on what you what to cover. This could be covering difficult topics, preparing for an exam or exploring more advanced subjects if you want a challenge.
My past experience
I have five years of experience tutoring online and in person. I started off tutoring music lessons privately before joining Explore Learning and Catch Up Academy where I tutor English, Maths, Science and 11+. I also have experience of tutoring children with SENDs needs online and in person.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement was completing my Music Production Degree. I had to learn from minimal knowledge before starting the course how to record and produce music. Throughout the degree, I had to learn to set up recordings, navigate the software and learn from others using a wide array of resources.
