About Me
I am a second year medical student at the University of Sheffield.
Having thoroughly enjoyed studying Science and Maths at GCSE and A-level, coupled with a love for mentoring others, I take pride in providing high quality and interactive teaching.
I achieved all A*s at A-Level, all 8s and 9s at GCSE, and the top grade in my first year of medical school. Furthermore, I was awarded the Chemistry and Biology prizes on finishing sixth form, as well as gold awards in both the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge and the RSC Olympiad. I was able to do this through consistent and targeted work, using techniques and principles I picked up along the way which I show to my students.
I now have 90 hours of tutoring experience, with all my students having stayed on until completion of their exams or remaining with me to this day.
Outside of academia, I enjoy bodybuilding and playing tennis, in addition to watching football.
My teaching style
My teaching is based around active recall and spaced repetition, two principles scientifically proven to be the most effective ways to support formation of long term memory. To do this, I start my sessions by testing the student on the previous session’s content, before talking through the given session’s topic by breaking it down into smaller questions and prompting them, adding my input and guidance.
My past experience
Over 100 hours of tutoring experience
My Proudest Achievements
