6About Me
Hi there, my name is Lily and I am a 22. My undergraduate degree from the London School of Economics is in Social Policy; therefore, this reading and essay based background left me comfortable in teaching Sections I and II on the GAMSAT. Despite not being from a science based background I enjoy teaching the key topics in Section 3.
During my social policy degree at the LSE I took a module in Medical Law and Ethics which left me with all the answers to the classic ethics based Medicine Interview questions. I truly love medicine and I am particularly interested in Immunology and Genetics.
I sat the UCAT twice (once for deferred undergraduate applications and once for graduate-entry medicine) and scored 2950 and 3020 with a Band 1 in the Situational Judgement both years. My top scores were VR -730 DM- 800 QR -830 and AR-750. I believe these scores are so high due to my exam strategy that I would love to share with you.
I scored 74 the first time I sat the GAMSAT with S1- 75, S2 -62, S3 -80
My teaching style
My approach is a friendly and relaxed atmosphere which focuses on maximum output for minimum effort. I believe tactically skipping a specific select few questions leads to significant improvements in score. This combined with honing in on weaknesses and fixing them accordingly leads to a tailored strategy that yields much greater scores in much fewer hours.
My past experience
I have lots of experience tutoring younger people but less experience tutoring older students therefore, I am looking forward to teaching highly intelligent and skilled prospective medical students.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is getting the highest A-Level Grades at my school in 5 years.
