Hi, I’m Shrey, and I’m finishing my final year at the University of Cambridge (Jesus College) studying Engineering. I have completed my BA and I have nearly finished my MEng, specialising in Mechanical and Bio Engineering. Prior to Cambridge, I achieved 4 A* during my A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry, as well as 11 A*s at GCSE. I can help you hone your interview skills and improve your Oxbridge personal statement to give you the best chances of a successful application. I have been able to experience supervisions and classes from some of the best Cambridge minds in a wide range of modules within Engineering, Physics, and Maths, and know just how important it is to tailor tuition to the student to help bring out the best in them. I have been through the toils of STEM exams and applications, and would love to help other students overcome these challenges by passing along the tips and tricks I have learnt along the way. I am also able to help students prepare for 13+ and GCSEs. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on the next stage of your academic journey!
My teaching style
I like to assess the student’s ability initially, and understand from them which areas are their weakest and why. If it is a case of a lack of grasp of the subject, I will try and teach it in an alternative way, or if it is a question of practice required, I find that going over example questions and answers is most productive.
My past experience
I have about 50 hours of tutoring experience, ranging from GCSE sciences and A-Level Physics and Maths, to Oxbridge Engineering Entrance practice and personal statement writing.
My Proudest Achievements
Recently, I was awarded a prize from the Cambridge Engineering Department for the presentation of my year-long Master’s Project on biomedical engineering
