About Me

Hi! My name is Morgan and I graduated in June from the University of Cambridge with a 2.1 in my geography degree. I studied Biology, Geography and Spanish as my A levels (and Maths AS) and have a rounded worldly knowledge because of my own interests and what I studied for my degree.

I am enthusiastic and patient. I know the importance of a passionate teacher and positivity when you’re learning something new it’s nice to be told that you’re doing something well or making progress, so I will always praise your progress. If you are struggling with something I will do everything I can to help you understand it.

I am a friendly face and always try to make students feel comfortable to make mistakes, as long as they try their best I will try and guide them to the right answers. I know that oftentimes, the subjects that student’s may need extra help with are the one’s that they enjoy less, so I try to increase the enjoyment of the subject even through relating it to real world situations and oftentimes this helps with trying to improve grades.

My teaching style

I love drawing diagrams and can help you figure out your studying style – I also have made voice notes, posters and completed many practice questions to help with learning and revision for exams.
I will set homework to make sure that learning is continued outside of lessons and ask to see teacher feedback on school work to see what teachers think students stronger points are and points to improve. I like to be in contact with parents – by leaving feedback reports to update on progress and also to encourage parents/ carers to be involved with the student’s learning, making sure they have as many cheerleaders as possible.
Also, trying to bridge any gap between human and physical Geography, because oftentimes students have their favourites and subconsciously disregard the other one, this affects their grade considering both are important, especially when trying to get the top grades – a board width of knowledge of is important.

My past experience

I have tutored for the last 3 years, on tutoring platforms and privately, improving results by up to 3 grades- including A’s

My Proudest Achievements

Completing my degree through the Pandemic and strikes is one of my proudest achievements, at times University was very lonely and when lectures were online rather than in person, my learning was very affected. But I completed my degree and my Dissertation – of which I stayed in Malaga in Spain for 6 weeks with locals and held interviews in Spanish to learn about the food culture and traditions of the city.

I teach

My Results and Achievements
