15About Me
Hello! I’m Antonia, and I graduated from the University of Oxford with a First Class BFA Fine Art in 2023. I am a practising artist, and I tutor Art across all ages, Philosophy A Level, Religious studies A Level, and English as a Foreign Language. I achieved all A*s and 9s at GCSE, and all A* at A Level. My students so far have all achieved A* at A Level, and I thoroughly enjoy facilitating a friendly and non-judgemental atmosphere in my classes so that students have the confidence needed to succeed. I am an experienced Art admissions tutor, and am happy to help with portfolios, personal statements, and interview preparation. Additionally, I offer IELTs, Cambridge and Michigan EFL tutoring and hold a 170hr TEFL qualification. As a freelance EFL tutor, I have supported children and adults alike in improving their English and realising their dreams of studying abroad or working with a global company.
My teaching style
The benefits of private tutoring are just that – the lessons are planned exactly for each student! I focus on a student-centred approach, and begin our lessons by conducting a needs analysis so I can tailor our sessions to your needs. Lessons are 1 hour long. We will set out an achievable list of goals, and a plan to reach them. No question is a bad question, especially when it comes to philosophy! Debate and open conversation are key in understanding the syllabus, and of course how to apply this to an exam structure.
My past experience
I have 7 years of teaching experience, and I started out volunteering as a student at sixth form and then university. I love supporting students and seeing them improve over time. I am now a full time tutor and have been for the past year.
My Proudest Achievements
Completing my degree at Oxford was an amazing experience. I was lucky to work with many inspiring artists and tutors. During my time at university, I wrote for the Courtauld and I curated several group shows. I have shown work in Modern Art Oxford.
