Hi, my name is Humraj! I’m currently in my first year of medicine at the University of Southampton. Having experienced the process of applying to medicine myself, I definitely understand the different types of struggles you can face. It’s one of the main reasons I wanted to tutor medicine applicants, and by using my experiences hopefully I can help students such as yourself reach your main goals in the medicine application process.
I’ve achieved 3 A’s at A-level in Maths, Biology and Chemistry and have a very good understanding of these subjects. At UCAT I achieved 2870 overall, with my standout area in abstract reasoning at 830.
I really enjoy playing and watching sports – mainly field hockey, which I’ve played at regional and county levels – and I watch football regularly.
I’m very passionate about learning and teaching in general, and my main goal is to make you the most confident you can be in your abilities in order to help reach your potential.
My teaching style
The teaching style I most often incorporate revolves around the student, which means I’m very flexible in how I am able to teach. Through consistent communication we can build an understanding of how best to tackle different areas that you might be struggling with to make our sessions the most effective they can be. As a result, our sessions would be much more interactive than you might have at school or university.
My Proudest Achievements
A couple of my proudest achievements include representing the Midlands in field hockey and getting into Medical School at Southampton.
