26About Me
Hi, my name is Lewis! I am currently studying in the UK’s highest ranked University for Computer Science, (Heriot-Watt University) and I share a passion for learning and educating others. From a young age I have always been interested in electronic devices, when I was 14 I taught myself the computer languages C and C++ and from that time I have since excelled at school and entered my dream University. I have faced some challenges in my life, including being an unpaid carer for my my two younger brothers who both have autism, however caring for them over my life has greatly aided in my communication skills and built resilience in tough situations. When I was attending high school I was recognised for my high proficiency in both English and Computer Science, an unusual combination which has greatly aided in my ability to teach others on the subject I am most enthusiastic about.

My teaching approach focuses on fostering an engaging and supportive environment tailored to each student’s needs. I strive to simplify complex ideas into smaller, more digestible steps, ensuring clarity for learners of all levels.
Patience and active listening are essential to my method, helping me recognize individual challenges and adapt my instruction accordingly. I use real-world examples to make lessons relevant and encourage active participation to promote critical thinking. By prioritizing confidence and a solid foundational understanding, I aim to spark curiosity and a genuine passion for learning.

My proudest achievements include becoming a lifeguard after rigorous examination, taking care of my brothers with learning difficulties, excelling in Computer Science and writing the best critical essay in English that the head of department had ever seen.
