About Me
Hello! I am Henry, a third-year Medical Student at Newcastle University with a strong passion for supporting aspiring students in achieving their academic and university goals. Having scored in the top 2% nationally in the UCAT (3110 points) and successfully secured a place at medical school, I understand the preparation, discipline, and strategy required to excel in competitive admissions.
Academically, I achieved a 7 (the highest grade) in IB Higher Level Chemistry, as well as double A* in GCSE Coordinated Sciences, A* in GCSE Additional Mathematics, and A* in GCSE Mathematics. These results reflect both a deep understanding of scientific principles and a consistent commitment to academic excellence.
I offer tailored tutoring in UCAT preparation, medical school interviews, IB/A-Level Chemistry, and GCSE Maths and Sciences. My approach combines structured, targeted teaching with a focus on exam technique, problem-solving, and building confidence. Each lesson is personalised to suit the student’s goals, learning style, and current level, ensuring steady progress and genuine understanding.
Whether you are aiming to achieve a top UCAT score, strengthen your grasp of challenging chemistry concepts, or prepare thoroughly for medical school interviews, I will provide clear guidance and effective strategies to help you succeed. I look forward to helping you reach your full potential and take the next step toward your academic and career ambitions.
My teaching style
My teaching style is highly adaptable and student-focused. I tailor each lesson to suit every learner’s unique style, pace, and goals. I’m empathetic and understanding, helping students overcome academic challenges with patience and encouragement. I’m also flexible with scheduling to ensure lessons fit smoothly around each student’s commitments.
My past experience
Yes, I have extensive experience tutoring students across various levels. I have worked with neighbours, family friends, and younger peers in high school, providing support in IB Chemistry, GCSE Mathematics, and GCSE Sciences. Many of these students went on to achieve outstanding academic results, reflecting the effectiveness of my tailored and structured approach. In addition, I have tutoring experience for the UCAT, with my recent student scoring top 5% worldwide. These experiences have honed my ability to adapt to individual learning styles, communicate complex concepts clearly, and foster both confidence and academic excellence in my students.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievements include scoring in the top 2% nationally in the UCAT (3110), achieving top grades in IB Chemistry (7) and *GCSE Maths and Sciences (A)**, and successfully securing a place at Newcastle University Medicine. Beyond academics, I take great pride in helping my students achieve outstanding results and gain admission to their desired universities. At university, I continue to pursue excellence — I’ve organised and led a national-level teaching series for medical students and am currently involved writing a medical paper, which I plan to present at a national conference soon.
