11About Me
I am a recent graduate in Human Social Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge. I teach lessons on multiple political science subjects, alongside practical writing skills. I have achieved high grades in papers on Politics, History, English Literature and Sociology in addition to papers on Ethics and Ancient Philosophy.
Professionally, I have spent the last four years of my career providing strategic planning and management advice to NGOs supporting refugees across Europe. I am now freelance.
I am able to provide a unique blend of academic excellence with real world practical experience and because of this students can expect a high standard of teaching, that is grounded and supportive.
Why am I offering tutoring service? Because I love these subjects and I love any excuse to talk about them more.
My teaching style
Methodology:
I offer practical lessons on writing Oxbridge applications, preparing for Oxbridge interviews, Politics, History, Sociology, English Literature and Essay Writing.
I approach tutoring with a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical applications, fostering a holistic learning experience.
I prioritise personalisation, meaning I will adapt methods to cater to diverse learning styles and paces according to the goals of each student. My methodology emphasises dialectic discussions and task-based learning. This cultivates deeper understanding and empowers students to find solutions autonomously.
Above all else, my ultimate goal is to create an environment where your curiosity thrives, enabling students to excel in academic and professional environments.
Practical things:
Lessons will be between 45 – 60 minutes, with preparation reading depending on the applicants needs and the subject matter.
My teaching is appropriate for A-Level or Higher.

> Proofread multiple personal statements for competitive applications and provided feedback that lead to a more coherent style.
> Provided advice and consultation for students interested in how to get started writing their applications, identifying their focus.
Wildlife Conservation Society Madagascar, Community Classroom Assistant – Dec 2019 – Mar 2020
Coordinating and supporting teaching at the community classroom in Maroantsetra, roles and skills included:
> Developed the quality of I.C.T. lessons by redeveloping the curriculum, allowing students to become more familiar with I.C.T. tools.
> Entrusted to teach E.S.L. in French and Malagasy, helping teach classrooms of over 50 and also improving spoken English among staff.
> Involved in multiple strategic planning sessions which assessed the impact of the curriculum and safeguarding outcomes.
Freelance, Japanese Language Tutor – Sep 2018 – Mar 2020
Provided Japanese language tutoring weekly, roles and skills included:
> Developed an introductory Japanese language curriculum for two students, emphasising engagement and spoken understanding.
> Responded to feedback and requests from the students, to ensure that lessons remained insightful and confidence building.

My Proudest Achievements
I was able to complete my degree at the University of Cambridge with excellent grades while simultaneously working for an international NGO. In both fields I gained a reputation for excellence and rigorous commitment. I was able to function as an international senior manager, a deputy director, an investigative researcher and a high achieving student. This means my background provides students with academic clarity and grounded practical experience.
