About Me
Hi, I’m Holly! I am a recent graduate from the University of Cambridge, having read Education, Psychology & Learning for my Bachelors degree. I pride myself on my organised, positive, and motivated attitude to tutoring. Exams can be tough, but I believe with the right support from me, students can learn to be kinder to themselves, whilst also learn to study and revise in ways that best empower them, and guarantee the meeting of their personal academic goals! Aside from work, I am an accomplished filmmaker who has had my work nominated at the British Short Film Awards, so I know a thing or to about what it means to study smarter, not harder! Currently, I am based in London having completed my Masters degree in Directing at Ealing Studios with the MetFilm School – so big things on the horizon for me (hopefully)!
My teaching style
I approach teaching from a comfortable, deeply interpersonal angle. I believe it is important to foster personal and tailored enjoyment of learning using an environment such as this, contingent to a big body of research that indicates intrinsic motivation to be essential in success!
My past experience
I have been a tutoring for over two years and have helped my students into top Russell Group universities!
My Proudest Achievements
I think I am most proud of my ability over my years of study to not let the pressure and overwhelm get too close to me. This can be the biggest barrier for students in reaching their goals, so I pride myself on my ability to get that balance right.
