Jayden
About Me
My name is Jayden, I’m a Northerner who grew up in Barnsley and studies in Sheffield.
My first experience of higher education was at the University of Warwick, where I studied Mathematics & Physics simultaneously for a year, but I eventually realised that the strong theoretical basis of the degree was not leading me in the right direction, and decided to transfer to Sheffield (to study straight Physics).
I am deeply interested in science, as well as politics, philosophy and Christianity. I am passionate about continuous learning, and grown my own knowledge as an avid podcast-listener and reader (in particular I like Dr Jordan Peterson and Chris Williamson).
I have multiple part-time jobs, including acting as a student ambassador for my academic department, and working as a night porter.
I love to travel, with my favourite places so far being Poland and the Netherlands. I believe that the best way to concentrate learning and widen experience is traveling.
My teaching style
Sessions would be tailored to the student, including help with exam practice, revision, and more difficult content. The lessons have an informal, casual style with a focus on correcting mistakes, misconceptions and areas of weakness. The more questions, the better.
My past experience
I have worked as a freelance tutor since June 2023, working for my own clients as well as students provided by external companies. This has led to me being offered a part-time job at a local academy teaching science and maths.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievements are the strong relationships I have built and nourished with friends and family members. For professional achievements, please see my LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/jayden-camm-a7613a284
