About Me

I am an Oxford graduate, and a highly experienced academic tutor with 6 years of experience tutoring children across all ages and various subjects. In total, I have tutored over 30 students one-to-one with each of them growing significantly.
I studied Law at St John’s College, Oxford from 2019 – 2022, and I have been working as an Accountant full time since graduating. As a result, I can help with preparing for the Oxbridge interview, personal statements, or even job applications and CV reviewing.
Education is extremely important to me, and this is reflected in my academic background where I have obtained the top grades everywhere I went.
I enjoy teaching greatly, and I am currently transitioning from my Accounting role to a PGCE which will start in September of this year. I plan to start working in a secondary school in my area this summer to get experience.
Having studied under the new 9-1 GCSE curriculum, I have first-hand experience in understanding what it takes to get the best results. Due to the various students I have tutored, I am extremely familiar to KS1, KS2 KS3 and KS4 studies.
I can help with whatever you need for your child, whether it is one-to-one ‘target tutoring’, helping with homework, or even helping boost their self-confidence so that they achieve the best they can.
I specialise in Maths, English and Law.
I currently tutor online through Zoom. I have learned, after using it in COVID times, that online tutoring is just as effective as in-person tutoring. It also has the advantage that the student can learn from a familiar environment, and it also cuts out the hassle and cost of travel.
I offer 1:1 tutoring (or group sessions) in:
• Early years
• KS1 – KS4 (Primary/secondary)
• Grammar school entrance exam prep (4+/ 7+/ 11+/ 13+)
• GCSE Maths and English
• A level (Economics / Law / Government and Politics)
• Homework
• Reading
Please let me know ASAP if you would like further details, and I will respond as soon as I can.

My teaching style

My Tutoring sessions are informative, fun, and highly interactive. For older students, I take a highly exam-focussed approach, making sure to use past-papers and answer many questions. I found in my own studies which helped me get in to Oxford that using past-papers is the best way to get high grades. I always make sure that the student has learned something at the end of the session, and that they are able to go away and dominate in their classes.

My past experience

My students come from various backgrounds at different ages across both Primary and Secondary School. I also have experience tutoring SEN and EAL students, and I even taught a 5-year-old how to read.

At Oxford university, I was highly active with the ISoc Access team, and I helped organise the annual OMAC which is an event aimed at helping students from disadvantageous backgrounds get in to Oxford and Cambridge. After university, I worked as an accountant at a top private client firm for a year, and so I also have experience working in financial services.

My Proudest Achievements

I have held Law classes at Newham Collegiate Sixth Form, a prestigious college which sent 45 students to Oxbridge last year. I hold classes which help prepare students for the Oxford and Cambridge interview. My aim in these classes is to improve their critical thinking skills and to help them not crack under pressure – I can also help your child receive this education which is normally restricted to the college (which requires at least 7 A grades to get in). Out of 9 students from my 2023 class, 4 went on to study Law at Oxbridge.
