Hi, my name is Laura-Kate. I am a final-year psychology student at Queen’s University Belfast. After I graduate, I hope to begin a Master’s in Clinical Health psychology.
I took Biology, Chemistry, and Maths at A-level. I would love to tutor GCSE and KS3 students in Single-award and Double-award science, Biology, Chemistry, Maths, English language and Food and nutrition. I am also interested in tutoring Psychology at GCSE and A-level.
I’m here to help you achieve your best! I also understand that everyone learns differently. We can work through individual topics, go through past paper questions or I can teach through a full module, and you can ask as many questions as you wish. For mathematical questions, I find creating an example of a question worked through to the correct answer is a helpful reference when trying questions yourself. I’m also here to provide my own study tips, advice and tools that you can take away and implement in future studies.
In my spare time, I love baking, a good cup of coffee and hanging with my cat, Jasmine.

My teaching style
As everyone learns differently, I seek to be flexible in my approach to suit your needs. I’m happy to review past papers, homework assignments, and specific questions you were unsure of in a test or class. Alternatively, I can teach through a topic or module to provide a solid knowledge base that can be developed. Ultimately, I want to teach in a way that fosters the growth of confidence in your knowledge of the subject.
My Proudest Achievements
I am proud of my final year thesis, as this took a significant time and effort to complete. Being able to submit my thesis gave me a sense of achievement and relief at the same time. I am also proud of making it through GCSE and A-levels during the COVID-19 pandemic, as it caused high levels of uncertainty and changes to exams and learning.
