About Me

My name is Elina Pampapathi and I am a Third Year Medical Student at Queen Mary University of London. I am a Graduate Entry Medic with a background in Paramedic Science for which I received a First. I received 4/4 offers for my application; two Graduate Entry Course offers, and two Direct Entry course offers – so I can help either prospective Graduates or Direct Entry students. Additionally, I received within the top 5% globally for my UCAT and have many great hints and tips to help maximise your score. I have just finished my 1st year of Medicine and received a merit for my exam results, which is within the top 20% of my cohort – I had to change my study techniques a lot when I came into medicine and can provide some useful perspective to preparing for a medical degree. I would like to help prospective students make the application process as stress free as possible because I do believe that it can be!

My teaching style

I believe that a medical interview should not be about finding the “right” answer but being as honest and personal as possible. Medical interviews are about your character, experience and personal qualities and it is important to let that shine through. I would like to get to know my students individually and help them to express the qualities that they already possess and I will tailor my teaching to each student depending on their experiences, strengths and weaknesses.
Regarding UCAT, I believe that everyone can achieve a competitive score with good technique and lots of practice. UCAT can seem daunting as it is often different to any exam that students have previously experienced but with detailed explanations on how to navigate the questions and a few key top tips, everyone can do well.

My Proudest Achievements

My most recent proudest achievement may be getting into Graduate Entry medicine. It was incredibly competitive with around 1800 applicants for 40 places and was quite a nerve wracking experience. Prior to University, my proudest achievement was doing my opera diploma recital.
