About Me
I am a dedicated and experienced primary school teacher with a strong background in teaching English and maths from early years up to GCSE level. Over my extensive career, I have developed a deep understanding of supporting diverse learners, including those with special educational needs and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Currently, I am self-employed, tutoring students in English and maths, and I am seeking part-time opportunities during school hours to continue making a meaningful impact on pupils’ academic and personal growth.
My teaching style
My teaching approach is inclusive and patient, focusing on creating a nurturing environment where all students feel valued and supported. I adapt my methods to meet the individual needs of my pupils, particularly those with SEND and SEMH requirements, by using differentiated instruction and fostering positive relationships. I am committed to cultivating confidence, resilience, and curiosity through interactive and engaging lessons across the curriculum.
My Proudest Achievements
Throughout my career, I have been proud to successfully manage classroom environments that promote learning for upper primary students, lead literacy monitoring across key stages, and support staff development as an acting deputy headteacher. I also took the initiative to open two new flagship stores earlier in my career, demonstrating my leadership and organizational skills. Currently, I continue to make a difference by providing personalised tutoring that helps students improve their academic performance and self-esteem.
