My name is Ashish Pathak, and I am a passionate mathematics educator, data enthusiast, and lifelong learner with over 7 years of experience in the education and ed-tech industry. Throughout my career, I have committed myself to making mathematics accessible, engaging, and meaningful for students across various academic levels. From teaching in traditional classrooms to adapting to the dynamic world of online education, my journey has been shaped by the belief that strong mathematical foundations empower students to think critically, solve real-world problems, and develop a lifelong appreciation for logical reasoning.
My academic background and professional experience are deeply rooted in mathematics and data science. I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Data Science from IIIT Bangalore, which complements my analytical mindset and adds a technological edge to my teaching and content development approach. This dual strength in mathematics and data enables me to not only teach with clarity but also build data-driven strategies for personalized learning and academic growth.
Over the years, I have worked with some of the most respected names in the Indian ed-tech space, including Akash Byju’s, Vedantu, and Turing (for Meta’s project). My responsibilities have ranged from classroom instruction and one-on-one mentorship to content creation, curriculum design, and performance analytics. At Vedantu, I was part of a dynamic online teaching model that demanded innovation, engagement, and precision in delivery. I consistently received positive feedback for my ability to break down abstract mathematical concepts into digestible, student-friendly explanations.
At Akash Byju’s, I led academic initiatives and collaborated with cross-functional teams to improve the effectiveness of math instruction. I was responsible for not just teaching, but also identifying learning gaps through data analysis and recommending interventions for student improvement. This is where my data science background truly added value. In my most recent engagement with Turing on a project for Meta, I explored how models learn to solve problems, sharpening my analytical thinking and deepening my appreciation for the intersection of machine learning and education. Beyond formal employment, I’ve also dedicated time to building my personal brand in the education space. I run a YouTube channel called “Math Whizz”, where I break down mathematical concepts, puzzles, and functional equations for students preparing for competitive exams. My goal is to eliminate fear and confusion surrounding math, especially for students who feel left behind in conventional learning environments. The channel has become a space where students can interact, ask questions, and learn at their own pace.
In addition to teaching, I have a strong flair for academic writing and content development. I’ve contributed to textbooks, mock test papers, and online course modules designed to help students excel in competitive exams like JEE, NTSE, and Olympiads. My content is known for being concise, logically structured, and tailored to the learning psychology of students. I believe in writing not just to inform but to inspire curiosity and confidence.
As someone who started as a traditional teacher and evolved into a tech-enabled educator, I understand the challenges and opportunities that modern education presents. I firmly believe in using data and technology to personalize education and create scalable solutions that address diverse learner needs.
