My teaching style

In my tutoring approach, I make sure the student leads the session. I start by asking them about their specific goals, challenges, and what they want to focus on. This helps me tailor each session to their unique needs. I let the students control the pace, so they can slow down where they need more time or dive deeper into topics they find interesting. By giving them this control, I ensure that their learning style is fully accommodated and that the session is as effective as possible.

If a student prefers me to drive the sessions, I’m happy to take the lead, guiding them through key topics, structuring the learning process, and ensuring they stay on track with their academic goals. I also assign homework that tests fundamental understanding and ensures students retain core concepts. Additionally, I offer past paper discussions to help them get familiar with exam formats and develop effective test-taking strategies.

For students preparing for Oxbridge or other university interviews, I provide tailored interview preparation, including mock interviews. I focus on developing critical thinking, problem-solving techniques, and confidence in answering challenging questions. By simulating real interview scenarios, I help students articulate their thoughts clearly and think under pressure, giving them a competitive edge in their university applications.
