About Me
I am a medical graduate (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) with over 10 years of experience tutoring and mentoring learners, from early years (age 4) through to young adults. Teaching has always been central to who I am, and I take pride in transforming complex concepts into clear, engaging, and confidence-building learning experiences, carefully tailored to each individual.
As an aspiring surgeon, I bring structure, discipline, and high standards to my mentoring, while remaining approachable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in my students’ progress. I understand what it takes to succeed in highly competitive environments and am passionate about guiding learners through challenges with honesty, strategic insight, and motivation.
If you are seeking a mentor who is knowledgeable, supportive, and deeply committed to your success, I would be delighted to support you on your journey.
My teaching style
My teaching style is student-centred, structured, and confidence-building. I tailor each session to the learner’s goals and abilities, ensuring content is clear, engaging, and appropriately challenging. Complex ideas are broken down into logical, manageable steps, with an emphasis on deep understanding rather than rote learning.
I set high standards while maintaining a supportive and approachable environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. Through active discussion, targeted questioning, and regular constructive feedback, I help learners develop critical thinking, independence, and resilience.
My goal is not only academic success, but also to build confidence, motivation, and long-term learning skills, enabling students to perform at their best in both academic and competitive settings.
My past experience
I have extensive experience tutoring and mentoring young people through Kip McGrath, Marvellous Minds, and as the Founder of One Stop Tuition. I support learners across Science, Maths, and English, transforming challenging curriculum content into clear, accessible understanding. Beyond academic progress, I prioritise student wellbeing, creating a structured, supportive learning environment where confidence, curiosity, and achievement can thrive.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is my academic transformation. I progressed from achieving Grade 3/4 to Grade 9 at GCSE, driven by self-motivation, discipline, and a belief that improvement is always possible. That journey reshaped how I view learning and potential — it taught me that there are no fixed limits, and that with the right mindset, guidance, and perseverance, anyone can become a high achiever.
This experience is at the heart of how I mentor others. I don’t just teach content; I help students believe in their ability to grow, overcome challenges, and exceed expectations — because I’ve lived that transformation myself.
