About Me
Hello! 👋
My name is Hannah and I am a 23 year old part-time student from Kent. In October 2024, I will be commencing my second year of my undergraduate Arts & Humanities degree with the Open University. I hope to specialise in English Language. 📚
I have always loved English Language since I was a little girl. The world of stories and drama, along with the history of our language, has fascinated me endlessly. I would love to share the passion I have for the Arts & Humanities sector with the next generation, and to prove that these subjects have an endless potential!
After my degree, I hope to qualify as a further education teacher. I want to specifically focus on functional skills, which would involve teaching basic reading/writing/comprehension to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
My teaching style
I think that we can learn a lot just from a conversation with each other, rather than just reading a book. It’s important to be open about the things we are struggling with. I am a very visual learner, I love a good powerpoint! I also like to use fun tools such as Kahoot or online quizzes.
