About Me
I am a fifth-year medical student at the University of Cambridge. In my third year, I chose to complete an intercalated degree in Physiology, Development and Neuroscience, achieving a high 2:1. Prior to attending Cambridge, I achieved 4A*s in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and an extended project qualification on gene therapy, in addition to an A in AS maths.
I am a friendly tutor with 6 years of experience, totalling over 300 hundred hours. I mainly tutor GCSE Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Maths, as well as A-level Biology and Physics. I also have experience mentoring students through their university applications, particularly for Medicine and Oxbridge. This can involve advice, mock interviews and personal statement reviews. I like to ensure all lessons are engaging and tailored to the student’s level.
My teaching style
Lessons integrate learning principles such as active recall and spaced repetition to improve retention of covered material. I like to focus lessons on the specification, with students having the option of choosing topics they would like to concentrate on.
