About Me
I studied Law at York, which utilized a problem-based method of learning. He we honed our analytical and deconstructive approach to cases and I was able to study a range of compulsory and elective modules such as:
Law and Business;
Public Law I & II;
Criminal Law;
EU Law;
Contract Law
Obligations I & II;
Property Law I & II;
Intellectual property law;
Legal Clinal;
Law & Society;
Legal Skills & Advanced Legal Skills;
Professionalism and Ethics; and
Competition Law.
I then later went on to study for my Masters in Law which also incorporated the Legal Practice Course (LPC) and here I studied compulsory and elective modules such as:
Debt Financing;
Commercial Law;
Intellectual property;
Wills;
Solicitors Accounts;
Law and Business;
Dispute Resolution;
Real Estate;
Business Law and Practice; and
Dissertation.
My teaching style
I take a discussion-type approach to teaching, by questioning the background and logic of concepts we can better understand the principles and ideas behind key concepts. I believe it is useful to properly question the foundation of issues, particularly in subjects like Law, before we arrive at the factual reality.
My past experience
I tutor on Superprof and have done so for the last 2 years.
My Proudest Achievements
Graduating from Law School with distinction and later accepting an offer of training from a city law firm through which I could qualify as a Solicitor.
