4About Me
Hello! My name is Maria, and I am a first year Medicine student at University College Dublin – Ireland, where I got in thanks to passing my Diploma and HPAT exams, which are the subjects that I offer professional tutoring in – HPAT, Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics are all areas that I studied myself for years and would love to share my knowledge and experience with students, ensuring they get suitable, individually tailored support, propelling them forward to exam results they are absolutely satisfied with 🙂
I am a friendly, and outgoing person and love working with others – whether it is colleagues, students or other tutors. My tutoring consists of walking from a big theoretical concept smoothly to practical exam skills and questions, providing feedback and support at every step of the way preparing for the big exam day. Let us walk this journey together and make the next test a thing to be excited for 🙂
My teaching style
My teaching style is as fluid as it can be – adjusting individually to students that I work with. I tend to emphasise starting with a good theoretical foundation to swiftly move to a lot of practice questions, and mock exams to be as prepared for any test as one can be – both by understanding the concepts and having the exam skills crucial to succeed. The classes I teach are engaging, and allow the student to recognize their strengths, as well as areas they should focus on a bit more to reach the peak of their ability.
My past experience
I have been a private tutor in English and Mathematics for the last 3 years, working with students on various levels, of various ages and needs, ranging from primary school, through high school, using online softwares and a variety of materials, so each lesson started with a goal, and each ended with a feeling of progress, enhanced understanding and a clear plan on what to focus on next.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievements are my IB Diploma Certificate Results – 43 points, and as a consequence the award of highest grades, and final exams score in my school, as well as getting into an internationally recognized Medical School in Dublin – finishing my first term with First Grade Honours 🙂
However aside from academic achievements I am most proud of each and every student that I am able to assist in their educational carrier, feeling that my knowledge has way more worth when shared with others.
