15About Me
Hi! My name is Siena and I am a current medical student, as well as an experienced and friendly tutor, helping students to achieve their academic goals.
I graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies (Chinese Language and Literature). After this, I achieved a masters degree from UCL with distinction. I am currently studying Medicine at St George’s, University of London.
Having successfully been through both Oxbridge humanities and Medicine admissions myself, I understand the specific challenges of these processes first hand, and I am able to share what I have learnt and how to succeed! I have successfully mentored several students through Oxbridge applications, Medicine applications, and UCAS applications, happily seeing them enrol at their target universities.
My teaching style
In my approach, I work hard to understand each student’s specific aspirations, personal strengths and challenges, and aim to adapt my approach to a strategy that works best for each student. As I tutor admissions and exams that I have been through myself, I also bring empathy – I understand that these exams are not easy, but I know deeply that with the right approach and the right mindset, great results are achievable.
My past experience
I have extensive experience in teaching Oxbridge admissions, medical school admissions, UCAS, essay writing, extended essay, biology A-level and GCSE.
My Proudest Achievements
I am most proud of having successfully entered medical school, from a non-science background. Studying Chinese Language first before starting Medicine has been the most challenging but also rewarding transition, via which I have gained new skills and perspectives.
