Faith
About Me
Hi there! My name is Faith and I am a recent graduate of Royal Holloway University for my undergraduate degrees, and East 15 Acting school for my Masters Degree!
I am really passionate about English, and believe that anyone and everyone should have access to books an literature. I also believe we should be able to learn in whatever way we think suits our own needs, and not be forced into one specific way of teaching.
In my lessons I will strive to structure them around YOU and YOUR needs, working with you to make sure you achieve your academic goals. At school, I never liked how my teachers would force me to learn in ways that made me uncomfortable or confused me, and so I will always listen to you and what you feel is best for yourself and your mind.
In my spare time, I love watching films and writing my own stories and plays. I am very friendly and approachable, and like to have a giggle (when there’s not work to be done!).
My teaching style
Centred around the student and what they want to improve on/what they are struggling on at the moment. I would provide a Relaxed environment, no pressure on the student but healthily challenging them to do their best.
My past experience
I worked for a year as a 1:1 reading support tutor for secondary school pupils that needed some extra support in their reading abilities. I also provided phonics support and basic literary skill support.
My Proudest Achievements
I have recently gained a first in my Masters degree at East 15 Acting School, University of Essex. This has been my dream since I was a child and I have finally achieved it!
