About Me
I am a dedicated and highly motivated professional specializing in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. My experience spans private tutoring for neurodiverse learners, including those with ASD, ADHD, and complex learning profiles, alongside extensive work in therapeutic and educational settings. I combine patience, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills to create supportive and effective learning environments tailored to each learner’s unique needs. I am committed to fostering positive engagement, academic progress, and personal growth in all students I work with.
My teaching style
My teaching approach is person-centered and highly adaptive, focusing on building strong, trusting relationships with students and their families to collaboratively develop bespoke learning plans. I prioritize creating low-arousal, supportive environments that accommodate sensory and cognitive fluctuations common among SEND and SEMH learners. I employ flexible teaching strategies and use continuous assessment to ensure that lessons remain accessible and engaging, aiming to inspire motivation and resilience. I firmly believe in fostering both academic achievement and emotional wellbeing through tailored, compassionate instruction.
My Proudest Achievements
I am proud to hold a 4th Dan Kukiwon Black Belt in Taekwondo and have served as an International Level Taekwondo Referee and Coach. Academically, I was recognized as a Top Achiever at the University of Surrey, graduating in the top 10% of my cohort with a First Class Honours degree in Economics and Finance. Professionally, I have successfully designed and delivered personalized educational interventions for students with complex neurodiverse profiles, enabling them to overcome significant barriers and achieve both educational and therapeutic milestones. Additionally, I am first aid qualified and safeguarding trained, underpinning my commitment to student safety and wellbeing.
