About Me
Hi, my name is Billie, I’m 28 years old and incredibly passionate about the subjects I teach.
I studied my Law degree at Bristol university and then moved to London and completed my teacher training in English, with the charity Teach First. I have taught English at KS3 and GCSE level for 5 years. During this time I covered a wide range of texts, and worked within an award winning English department in East London. I have also taught A-Level Law for 4 years, 2 of which I held the position of Head of Law. I have the most experience with AQA examinations, but have knowledge of others too. I have completed extensive examiner training and so am familiar with requirements needed to achieve the best results. I left teaching to pursue a legal career earlier this year. But I love the teaching profession, and so am tutoring alongside my new role.
My teaching style
I embrace a student-led teaching style that encourages learners to take ownership of their own development. I ensure all lessons are catered to the individual needs and goals of each student, which will always be the first point of discussion.
My past experience
I have taught A-Level Law and GCSE English for 5 years and have been a tutor for 2 years.
