Emilli
About Me
Hi, I am Emilli, and having recently graduated from the University of Oxford with a first class degree studying History, I am eager to help students by sharing the knowledge and expertise that I have gained along the way.
I have a true passion for helping others achieve their goals and have worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds with varying skillsets. Having balanced my own studies alongside working and researching, I understand the challenges of academic pressure, and aim to make learning not only effective, but enjoyable.
I specialise in humanities subjects, and love helping students to build confidence in their analytical and critical thinking skills. My approach is supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s learning style. Whether you need help understanding complex topics, developing essay skills, or preparing for interviews and exams, I can ensure my support and assistance.
My teaching style
I offer highly personalized and engaging tutoring that adapts to each child’s unique learning style, strengths, and goals. My approach is energetic, encouraging, and designed to spark genuine excitement about learning. I challenge students to do their best, guiding them just beyond their comfort zone so they grow with confidence and begin to truly enjoy the process. With each session, your child feels supported, motivated, and inspired to reach their full potential, both academically and personally
My past experience
I have a range of tutoring experience. I have tutored GCSE students in Religious Studies, English Literature, English Language, and History. I have also worked as an educational consultant, which involved guiding students through university applications, editing personal statements, and preparing them for interviews. Within this role i mainly worked with Chinese students attending private schools within the UK sitting A-level and GCSE exams. Here, I tutored in the A-Level subjects of History, Psychology, and Religious Studies, whilst also helping GCSE students with Religious Studies and History.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is being awarded the title of college scholar upon achieving a first-class degree at university. This award served as a recognition of the hard work and dedication that I had channelled into my studies, and was a reflection of my commitment to education.
