About Me
Hi, I’m Alex, a law student at the University of Cambridge, Gonville and Caius college. I attained A*A*A at A-Level, in Maths, Economics and History. I have tutored one-on-one before, helping students refine their personal statements, prepare for the LNAT, and build confidence for interviews—drawing on both my own successful application and wider insights into what law tutors look for. At university I was awarded the Sir William McNair Prize in Law thanks to my performance in first year. I also have extensive experience in mooting (mock legal argument), having won the Cambridge Cuppers Moot Competition. These experiences have given me the foundational knowledge of what law admissions tutors value and how to prepare you for detailed legal discussion. I’m really excited about bringing these skills and my prior tutoring experience to help you succeed with your applications.
My teaching style
My approach is supportive, structured, and encouraging. I focus on building the skills that really matter: critical thinking, legal reasoning, and articulating ideas clearly under pressure. Whether you’re just starting your application or preparing for mock interviews, I aim to demystify the process and make it as manageable—and even enjoyable—as possible. As someone who’s been through it myself, I know how challenging university applications can feel. I’m here to help students navigate each step with confidence and clarity, while encouraging genuine curiosity about the law along the way.
My past experience
I have tutored law admissions, helping my students get offers from top universities (including Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, LSE and Durham), aiding with their personal statement, LNAT and interview preparation. I can proudly say that all of my prior students scored 25 or higher on the LNAT and obtained an interview (if applying to Oxbridge).
My Proudest Achievements
In the Cambridge University Fledglings moot competition I ranked within the top 4 of 105 competitors, and presented legal arguments before Lady Justices Rose and Simler of the UK Supreme Court.
