Hi! My name is Minhaj and I love tutoring. I am a recent graduate from the University of Cambridge with a master’s degree in engineering. I have quite a lot of experience when it comes to tutoring and mentoring students of all age groups in mainly STEM subjects. I have achieved 11A*s at GCSE and 4 A*s at A Level (in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry) so you can be confident in having me as your tutor for explaining even the most difficult content and helping you prepare well for exams!

My main academic interests lie within STEM areas, primarily maths and physics. This is why I chose to pursue engineering at university since it embodies both of these subjects with real-life applicable contexts. I did many super curricular activities throughout my academy journey including UKMT maths challenges (achieved GOLD twice) and attending the Isaac Physics Summer School at the University of Cambridge in Corpus Christi College (only 40 students were invited nationally).

I have experience in tutoring students from primary school all the way to students doing their A Levels (or equivalent). I also have experience in mentoring students for their university applications in STEM subjects including Oxbridge applicants. My primary area of focus for mentoring university applicants would be engineering applicants for Oxbridge & Imperial. But I am also looking to mentor students in other STEM areas such as physics, maths & computer science since the interviews and admissions test preparation often takes a similar journey. I am familiar with all the major UK STEM admissions test including the ESAT, ENGAA, NSAA, MAT, PAT and TMUA (I practised with these myself for my admissions test) so I would be willing to help students prepare for these. I currently mentor and tutor many students for STEM applications to top universities including Oxbridge and Imperial College London. I help students with all aspects of their application including helping with writing personal statements and preparing for admissions tests as well as interviews.

PhD in Mathematics University of SussexMMath Mathematics 1st class honoursHirschfeld Ph.D. ScholarshipMay 2014 Junior Research AssociateMay 2013 Junior Research Associate

I’m a full-time private tutor with an extensive background in maths and data tech. I’ve been tutoring/taught for over twelve years, and worked in the data tech industry for six years. My academic background is from Sussex University. I completed my MMath degree with a 1st class honours in 2014 writing my dissertation on Bochner-Riesz summability and Strichartz estimates. I then completed my PhD in maths in 2019 under the Hirschfeld scholarship passing with minor corrections (2019); my thesis was titled “Topics in Geometric and Harmonic Analysis on Symmetric Spaces and Lie Groups”. I started tutoring as an A-level assistant at school helping GCSE students with maths work in the classroom. I picked it up again as a university undergraduate as a convenient way to fund my studies. I quickly realised that I had a knack for tutoring being able to get the best out of my students and consequently help them achieve their goals. Tutoring has since become my passion. From that point, I’ve had a range of tutoring positions including acting as a classroom assistant in a local school, one-on-one tutoring online and in person, leading university workshops, marking homework, being a university examiner, delivering lectures at universities, and leading technical training in industry. My PhD further enhanced my tutoring. I had regular contact with my research supervisor who had a remarkable ability to explain complex maths concepts in a simplified way unfolding the concepts as if he was telling a story. I integrated this into my tutoring technique. I constantly strive to develop this skill further and pass it onto my students to engender their enthusiasm. I entered the workforce following the completion of my PhD as a data specialist working in tech and applying maths to solve machine learning problems. An example was acting as an intermediary translating academic mathematical models into Python and PySpark code to improve the computation of aggregate functions. I continued teaching responsibilities being responsible for training work colleagues in data engineering skills and advanced machine learning. I’m now a full time tutor after spending six years in data tech. I have expanded my tutoring portfolio into further areas including: computer science, data engineering/science best practices, dissertation advice, maths entrance exams, mechanics, university application assistance, Python/SQL pair programming, statistics, and test preparation.

Hi! I’m Kautilya Pandit, a Physics student at Balliol College, University of Oxford, and I’m excited to support students aiming for top UK universities. Coming from an international background myself, I understand how challenging Oxbridge and UK admissions can feel — yet I successfully secured offers from all five universities I applied to, including Oxford, Imperial, UCL, Bristol, and Edinburgh. I also earned scholarships along the way, and achieved a 92/100 in the PAT, placing me in the top percentile of applicants.

I’ve mentored many students back in India and abroad, helping them navigate every stage of the admissions process: choosing colleges, perfecting personal statements, preparing for admissions tests, and most importantly, excelling in interviews. Oxbridge interviews and academic problem-solving are my forte — I specialise in teaching students how to think aloud, structure solutions, and engage confidently with unfamiliar material.

Whether you need PAT preparation, Oxbridge interview coaching, or overall Oxbridge mentoring, I can guide you through the entire journey with clarity, strategy, and insider insight. My goal is to make the process not only successful, but enjoyable, empowering, and personalised to you.
