I really enjoyed doing the simulation yesterday. It was a great experience, I’ve never done it before. It was really cool to basically be a doctor. A really great experience.

I’ve liked all the various activities we did this week in particular when we did the MMI, imitating a real-life MMI scenario and putting me on the spot to answer questions. I also really really enjoyed learning about palliative care.

I found the week in the GP practice really interesting. I didn’t realise how much was involved in running a doctor’s surgery. It was really interesting to sit in patient consultations and learn about how to refer patients to other areas.

The GP placement was really interesting. All the staff were really friendly and I learnt lots. I got to sit in some consultations and the doctor took me through how you diagnose patients and how to send them for tests after.

I really enjoyed the practical element that was given to us. I saw first hand experiences like palliative care and practising suturing was really interesting and looking at how to take blood. It taught me how to use my life skills and apply them.
