I found the engineering work experience fantastic. There was a variety of speakers, it was really enjoyable. I specifically enjoyed the speaker that came in and talked about x-rays I found that very fascinating, I learnt loads. It’s just great to have someone that specialises in the field to talk to you. I loved the variety of speakers.

I wanted to see if Engineering was for me or not. The accommodation and the residents group was fun. I have a better idea of the different engineering fields. I like mechanical. And it gave me an idea of what I could get into as well as other options.

It’s been very fun, I enjoyed it. My favourite part of the engineering work experience was when we learnt about aeronautics and when we went to the Science Museum. I really want to do mechanics now at university.

I found the engineering work experience very informative and it made me look at engineering in a different way, where I understood more the importance of the details and the components of everything in life. I think it’s helped me understand which course I want to do more – mechanical engineering.

I really enjoyed listening to industry professionals because it gave me an insight that you don’t really find anywhere else especially when you’re researching online about engineering. It made me want to study it more at university because now I know more about what’s involved and what I will enjoy.

It was fun learning about stuff and building and applying the knowledge. I really enjoyed going to the Science Museum, that was fun. There was all sorts of machines there and we looked at different types of engineering and then we did a research project which was fun. It was about a gravity detector in America.

I especially enjoyed building bridges and learning about stress and applying more of the mathematical aspect of engineering. We took inspiration from real life people and gained personal experience from civil aerospace and mechanical engineers and they showed us around campus and the facilities of different universities and it made me really excited to study engineering.
