Religion Tutors : 1-1 Religion Lessons

Hello! I’m Amy, a recent graduate from Oxford University with a 1st in BA Experimental Psychology. I achieved 3 A*s at A-Level (Psychology, Biology, Religious Studies), full marks and an A* in my EPQ, and 7 level 9’s at GCSE (including maths and biology). At the moment, I’m working as a Research Assistant at the University of Kent, studying children’s conversational ability. In my free time, I sing in a choir, spoil my cat and attempt to crochet (badly).

I’ve always loved learning and exploring exciting new ideas, and this passion has helped push me to where I am today. As such, I’m eager to help support students through tutoring in the way that my teachers supported me!
—–>I’m particularly interested in Psychology, Biology, English and Religious Studies, and offer tutoring in these subjects from KS3 to A-Level (+ University level for Psychology).
—–>I can also offer guidance on personal statement writing, and the Oxbridge interviews process; I know from experience how daunting the university application process can be, especially coming from a state school background, and am eager to help make it a little less painful.
—–>Finally, I offer tutoring in preparation for the 11+. I also received some tutoring when preparing for the 11+, and was able to gain entry to the top grammar school in my region. I also regularly chat with 10-11 year olds as part of my job, so have lots of experience talking with this age group.

I have been working as a professional tutor for nearly seven years. I graduated with a degree in HSPS from the University of Cambridge, and have been teaching a variety of humanities and English subjects ever since. I tutor English Language and Literature GCSE, Sociology A Level, Oxbridge admissions, as well as many other related-courses. Since 2020, I have adapted my work to a heavily online-based approach, though am available in person, particularly for summer school and teaching camps. Online, I utilise screensharing, PDF annotation, interactive whiteboards, shareable textbooks, past papers, and many other learning materials and worksheets that I have accumulated over the years, and in many cases technology that I have invested into, in order to make online tuition particularly engaging.

Hi I’m Alina!. I’m a second year medical student at the University of Liverpool. I really enjoy meeting new people and helping them to achieve their goals so tutoring is a great fit!

At A-level I studied Biology (A*), Chemistry (A) and English Literature (A*).

At GCSE, the main subjects I studied were: Maths (8), English Literature (9), English Language (9), Biology (9), Physics (9) and Chemistry (8)

The academic demands of applying to medicine are high, and as such, I had to develop a strong work ethic and revision/exam techniques, which I am more than happy to pass on in our sessions.

I used tutors throughout secondary school, mainly for help with Biology, Chemistry and English. I found the help of my tutors invaluable; without it, I don’t think I would have achieved the same grades or even gotten into medical school!

I also think that the interview preparation course that I attended was crucial to me receiving offers from Medical schools. This allowed me to face my fears by stimulating the interview environment so boosted my confidence for the real ones. I also think the feedback I received was so useful to reflect on and analyse in order to improve my performance. I therefore would really like to help others in the same position!

I am a patient, rigorous and highly experienced teacher, tutor, educational consultant, textbook writer, course designer and translator with over 8 years experience in the UK and EU.

I took my undergrad studies at the University of Warwick and Sciences Po Paris in PPE, followed by graduate studies in Mathematics and Philosophy at the Sorbonne and the University of Paris.

I teach Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Economics, History, Philosophy, English Literature and languages: French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Latin and Ancient Greek). I teach Mathematics, Economics and Philosophy to Undergraduate level.

Aside from my academic interests, I am passionate about music (especially Jazz, Gospel and Disco) and film, playing the piano, saxophone. I am also avidly interested in politics and current affairs (for better or worse).

I have many years of tutoring experience having been an Academic mentor at school, covering all GCSE subjects to help younger pupils navigate through classwork, homework, revision and trying out new study skills. I have therefore had the experience in developing close connections with pupils to identify their individual styles of learning, helping them to gain greater self-confidence and fulfil their potential. My experience as a peer mentor and prefect as elected by my peers has also enabled me to strengthen my communication and problem solving skills to ensure that the pupil’s concerns are actively listened to and I have an adaptable teaching focus to accommodate a vast range of learning styles. I am excited to begin working with students and provide encouragement, be friendly and dedicate time to coming up with a clear plan to achieve the examination objectives.
