I am a First Class Honours graduate in BEng Biomedical Engineering from Queen Mary University of London, and I am now pursuing a degree in Medicine. This combination gives me a unique academic edge — bridging the gap between engineering, science, and medicine, and allowing me to bring a logical, structured, and insightful approach to teaching.

I have a strong academic foundation across Sciences, Maths, and English, and I’m passionate about helping students reach their full potential — particularly those aspiring to study Medicine or other STEM courses.

My lessons are always well-prepared, tailored to each student’s needs, and focused on building confidence and excellence. I ensure that students not only master the content but also develop the critical thinking and communication skills essential for medical interviews and university applications.

I’m known for being professional, approachable, and flexible with my hours — making sure every student feels supported, motivated, and inspired to achieve outstanding results.

I came in to teaching in 2005, after my previous career was in financial planning. It was with deep reflection i chose teaching as a profession and have never looked back. Its been very rewarding in my personal and professional development.
I did my teaching qualification at London Metropolitan University.
I have taught both in independent and state school over the past twenty years.
However, tutoring has always been parallel while teaching in a school setting.
Over the years, I have adapted different teaching skills to suit the students needs to reach the best outcomes. Being resourceful and versatile to students is also key to empowering the student learning.
Age ranges which I have experienced have been from primary years, KS2, 11+, 13+, KS3 and KS4. With all these years I am able to teach all the three subjects, English, Mathematics and Sciences.
However, for A level I have experience in teaching A level Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology.
Familiar with all major exam boards – Edecel, Aqa, OCR and WJCE and International papers too.

Hi, I’m Imaan. I’m a fifth year medical student at the University of Plymouth, I know the interview process inside out and I know that it takes A LOT of determination. I have independently achieved all my medical school offers and thats why I know that although it seems impossible, there’s always a way to achieve your dreams and I’m here to help you find it! I have lots of experience coaching students and am easy to talk to. I have had to deal with the daunting experience of applying to medical school, independently, including; taking the UCAT exam twice! This has taught me everything there is to know about the test and I have developed many tips and tricks. I am also a foundation student and this pathway requires a lot of thought and planning, I’d be happy to answer any questions regarding any of the unconventional pathways to medicine. Hi! My name is Maya and I’m a third year medical student at the University of Liverpool. I remember how worried I was throughout the whole medical application process, and to be honest, I wish I had a tutor who could spend time going over UCAT questions and interview practice with me. During my time in sixth form however, I have collated a lot of resources for different elements of the process. Hello! I’m Isabella 🙂

Having faced hurdles in my application process into medical school, I know how scary applying to university can be. My job is to help make this application process less daunting and maximise your chances of success.

Achieving 6A*s at A-Level and obtaining all my GCSEs at a grade 7-9, I taught myself how to master the skill of application and examination technique. My role now is to help as many other students to maximise their potential like I did.

Having tutored both privately and with other educational organisations covering 11+ admissions, GCSE and A-Level I have been exposed to a range of different examination boards including but not limited to AQA, WJEC, OCR and Edexcel. At the 11+ level, I have tutored students undertaking the 11+ CEM (Durham University) examination as well as GL examinations. I have also successfully taught students undertaking the 13+.

Within medical school, I am the current lead for Imperial College London’s Widening Participation Programme (WATCCH) for Medicine. This role helps prospective students from disadvantaged backgrounds interested in applying to medical school, maximise their chances of success. Having ran MMI and personal statement workshops and working with both the medical school and other current medical students, I have seen what makes a medical application stand out from the crowd.

I have been through the medical school application process and understand it can be tough at times.
