Hi there! My name is Grace and I have recently finished a French Literature MSt at Keble College, Oxford, for which I received a Distinction. I also completed a History and French BA for my undergraduate at Somerville College, Oxford and got a First Class. I’ve been tutoring for several years now so I have lots of experience, and I really enjoy being able to help students wherever I can. I’ve always put my academic studies first, and I know how important it is to do your best in exams; I find it extremely rewarding when I can help students to achieve this. Having got all A*s in GCSE and A-Level, and successfully passed through Oxford’s rigorous admissions process, I know first-hand what is required to do well at all of these stages. I also really enjoy teaching students and hope that my enthusiasm will make their sessions enjoyable – I’ve always seen myself becoming a teacher!
I have an enhanced DBS check and am safeguarding trained.
I recently graduated with a Masters in Global and Imperial History from the University of Oxford in June 2023 after having completed my Bachelors in History from Oxford in June 2022. At university, I was involved with various student societies, most recently having completed my term as Editor-in-Chief of the Oxford Review of Books. Currently on a gap year, I am looking forward to tutoring students interested in academic study at Oxford or Cambridge, with a particular focus on the Humanities. I would love to hear from students who require extra help with school or academic work. Equally, I would be happy to provide ‘liberal arts’ tutoring for students interested in the Humanities that goes beyond the limits of a school curriculum and introduces them to the vast diversity of subjects and skills that the Humanities has to offer. This knowledge can be especially useful for students while writing EPQs or other forms of coursework as well as providing a good foundation before embarking on undergraduate study.

With extensive interview experience and firsthand knowledge of the Oxbridge application process, I am well-equipped to guide students towards academic success and help them achieve their educational goals. Hi, my name is Catherine and I am about to head into my final year of undergraduate Modern History at Queens’ College, University of Cambridge. At A-level history, I studied 20th Century America and the Tudor dynasty, both of which I have continued studying at a university level. I am passionate about 20th-century history in particular, and my third year will focus on that in varying geographical locations such as South Africa and Central Europe.
I have a special interest in feminist history and my upcoming dissertation will discuss American Housewives and their approach to short-form media. I enjoy focusing on social history and how human beings as people interact with the world around them.
In the past, I have engaged in multiple platforms for debate such as in the European Youth Parliament at the National level.
I am an outgoing, friendly person who believes in the value of the Oxbridge system and would love to help aspiring and ambitious students reach their full potential.

Hi my name is Lexi and I’m a recent History graduate from the University of Oxford achieving a 2.1. I am friendly and patient, and strive to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and are motivated to learn. My chatty nature helps create sessions which are engaging and interactive making learning not just effective but enjoyable. As well as this, I make sure to tailor my resources and teaching style to each student to ensure they get as much as possible out of each session.
I studied History, Geography and Maths at A-Level achieving 3 A*s. I took 11 GCSE’s (core subjects and Latin, Greek, Spanish, History and Geography) achieving 4 9s, 2 8s, 4 A*s and 1 A. From these results, I have learnt successful and effective ways to learn each subject effectively. I am eager to share the skills I have learnt myself and ensure my students reach their fullest potential.
Hi, I’m a BA History student at Hertford College, University of Oxford with a passion for reading, writing, and most things historical. I’m a massive fan of learning and teaching modern history and offering critical perspectives that teachers and examiners are sure to appreciate. French, English and German history are particular favourites of mine.
Outside of that I’m also a massive fan of English literature and Biology while also dabbling a bit into politics and philosophy. Plus, aside from pure academics, I’m more than happy to give advice on things like university admissions, academic and personal research, academic writing, volunteering, public speaking, university life, and so on.
Reading-wise I’m a massive fan of Austen, Lovecraft and Emily Bronte, together with the gothic genre in general. I love considering both history and fiction from an intersectional perspective, looking at the ways gender, class, race and other factors influence and interact with one another in different contexts.
