Hi 👋 I’m Kara, a History and Politics graduate from Brasenose college, Oxford! I am super passionate about all things History and Politics as well as International Relations, English literature and Economics. I am available to help students with a wide range of challenges, from Economics A-level to achieving full marks in an EPQ. Outside of studying, I enjoy travelling, reading fiction and all types of exercise, especially the gym and I am a firm believer in having a great work life balance. After studying independently for many months during the pandemic and missing GCSEs, I am in a unique position to understand the mental stress placed on high achieving students who have missed large parts of their education; as your tutor I will do everything I can to support you academically and emotionally. Hi there! My name is Grace. In 2023, I finished a French Literature MSt at Keble College, Oxford, for which I received a Distinction. I also completed a History and French BA for my undergraduate at Somerville College, Oxford and got a First Class. I’ve been tutoring for seven years now so I have lots of experience, and I really enjoy being able to help students wherever I can. Throughout my time in education, I always put my academic studies first, and I know how important it is to do your best in exams; I find it extremely rewarding when I can help students to achieve this. Having got all A*s in GCSE and A-Level, and successfully passed through Oxford’s rigorous admissions process, I know first-hand what is required to do well at all of these stages. I recently graduated with a Masters in Global and Imperial History from the University of Oxford in June 2023 after having completed my Bachelors in History from Oxford in June 2022. At university, I was involved with various student societies, most recently having completed my term as Editor-in-Chief of the Oxford Review of Books. Currently on a gap year, I am looking forward to tutoring students interested in academic study at Oxford or Cambridge, with a particular focus on the Humanities. I would love to hear from students who require extra help with school or academic work. Equally, I would be happy to provide ‘liberal arts’ tutoring for students interested in the Humanities that goes beyond the limits of a school curriculum and introduces them to the vast diversity of subjects and skills that the Humanities has to offer. This knowledge can be especially useful for students while writing EPQs or other forms of coursework as well as providing a good foundation before embarking on undergraduate study.

Hello there, I’m Omar. I am a final-year History student at Corpus Christi College, University of Cambridge. I took Mathematics, History, English Literature and Philosophy at A-Level / Pre-U, and achieved four A* or equivalent. I ranked within the top 10% of my cohort at Cambridge across both my first and second years. I have been awarded travel grants by my college to pursue my historical studies further afield, most recently in Milan, Italy. I have tutored for many years in a variety of formats, including on a virtual platform during the pandemic, but also in-person in the classroom. I have also provided Oxbridge-specific coaching for students in the past, including Personal Statement preparation, Interview coaching and HAT/HAA work. Beyond my academic commitments, I am a singer in my college’s chapel choir.

Hi! I’m Theo, a recent 2025 graduate from Trinity College, Cambridge, reading MML and AMES (Arabic and French). I’m a native French speaker, and I’ll be continuing at Cambridge next year with an MPhil in Modern and Medieval Languages, focusing on Francophone and Arabic thought.

Before university, I was a Major Academic Scholar at Merchant Taylors’ School, where I achieved D1 (A*) in French and Spanish, D2 (A*) in History, and an A* in my Extended Project Qualification. Since then, I’ve studied across the Francophone and Arab worlds, including terms at HEC Paris, the Sorbonne, and the University of Tunis, exploring politics, literature and law through both French and Arabic.

At Cambridge, I have consistently achieved high First-class marks in language and literature papers, including the top university-wide result in the final-year French oral examination. Outside of academics, I was a Choral Scholar at Trinity and helped lead the Trinity College Politics Society, where I hosted high-profile speakers such as Matt Hancock and Baroness Morgan—developing strong communication skills and a passion for mentoring students in public-speaking and interview contexts.

I’ve tutored students in French, Spanish, History and Politics since 2022 and have helped prepare Oxbridge candidates for MML and AMES—7 of my 8 tutees have received conditional offers. I specialise in breaking down complex literary and historical material, building student confidence, and helping ambitious pupils meet their academic goals.

Hi my name is Lexi and I’m a recent History graduate from the University of Oxford achieving a 2.1. I am friendly and patient, and strive to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and are motivated to learn. My chatty nature helps create sessions which are engaging and interactive making learning not just effective but enjoyable. As well as this, I make sure to tailor my resources and teaching style to each student to ensure they get as much as possible out of each session.

I studied History, Geography and Maths at A-Level achieving 3 A*s. I took 11 GCSE’s (core subjects and Latin, Greek, Spanish, History and Geography) achieving 4 9s, 2 8s, 4 A*s and 1 A. From these results, I have learnt successful and effective ways to learn each subject effectively. I am eager to share the skills I have learnt myself and ensure my students reach their fullest potential.
